Cross-border results
The EU does more than you think. Between 2021 and 2027, Interreg Öresund–Kattegat–Skagerrak is investing 140 million euros in projects carried out by partners across 14 Swedish, Danish, and Norwegian regions. These investments generate tangible benefits for regions, municipalities, businesses — and individuals.
Results at a Glance
1,211 people have found employment in another country.
1,066 students have been connected with a workplace on the other side of the border.
155 new services and/or products have been developed across various fields — everything from digital product passports for textile products to mobile hydrogen refuelling units and solutions within gaming technology.
3,543 healthcare employees have received skills development to provide better and more efficient care and treatment.
4,818 patients have received treatment that is better, faster, and more cost-effective.
About the Data
- The results were collected between October 2024 and April 2026 and are based on estimates from many of our 61 ongoing or completed projects.
- Project representatives have answered questions based on their project's goals and ambitions. The questions also align with many of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
